Welcome Aboard!
The following are guidelines in the case of an emergency while you are onboard. Your crew are all professionally trained in maritime emergencies; which include Shipboard Firefighting, First Aids and all general emergencies that may occur while at sea.
-
The general emergency signal consists of 7 short blasts followed by one long blast on the ships whistle accompanied by an audible tone on the ships public address system. On hearing the general emergency signal all guests; with their lifejackets; accompanied by designated crew members should proceed to their designated muster stations which are located in Boat Deck (Starboard and Port side on the aft part of the vessel).
- Inflatable Life Jackets are located in a marked compartment in each stateroom.
- Signage located in the corridors and stairwells indicate the direction to follow to the muster stations.
- In case you observe smoke or fire, immediately inform the nearest crew member or break the glass of the nearest fire alarm device – this will automatically notify the bridge of the location of the fire.
- Fire Extinguishers are located in various places on board.
- In the case of a power failure emergency lighting will automatically be activated.
- Elevators are not to be used in an emergency; a dedicated team is available to assist passengers with mobility issues.
- The telephone extension to the Wheelhouse is 527.
- The telephone extension to the Reception area/Entrance Hall is 232.
- Smoking is not permitted at any time on the vessel.
There will always be a crew member available for any question concerning these safety issues and verbal orientation will be conducted upon embarkation.
Thank you,
The Captain of M/Y Dream
